CU Ballet's The Nutcracker is a magnificently elaborate production of the beloved holiday ballet set to the music of Tchaikovsky. It is the magical story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince who are led through an enchanted dream by Clara's godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer. From the exciting battle of mice and soldiers to the magnificent scenes of snow and sweets, this entertaining ballet captivates the imagination of all who see it--whether for the first time or as an annual tradition.

All performances feature choreography by Deanna Doty and live music from Sinfonia da Camera conducted by Maestro Ian Hobson. At Krannert Center, Champaign Urbana Ballet creates an unforgettable experience and cherished memories for audiences both young and young-at-heart.
