Coppélia is a charming story of young lovers befuddled by a lifelike doll and its inventor, Dr. Coppelius. Magic, comedy and youthful romance combine in a fast-moving ballet well suited for children and adults. Bright costumes, picturesque scenery and classical choreography are set to the memorable melodies of Delibes. Deanna Doty, artistic director, enhances her original production with more humor and lively dance sequences in what has become "ballet's greatest comedy."
